come to find out there is alot of water in my gas tank for some reason!!! syphoned out the tank the best i could put a bottle of heet and fresh gas in it but watered gas is still coming out of the fuel rail and wont fire up. is that old gas still left in the lines, how do i cycle it out? where do i go from here...plugs,fuel filter?

Unhook the fuel rail and turn it over and let the old fuel run out. Keep running it till you get fresh fuel coming through.

I think if you run the return line from the tank to a jerry can,put methyl hydrate [alcohol from drug store] in your gas tank, and run your original tank dry a couple of times, should clean it out.
Good luck,
Richard

That should be; return line from the MOTOR to a jerry can

ok...so i got it started. its running really rough. almost seems like its running on 4 maybe 3 cylinders (its a 3.0 6cyl)and after running for maybe 3-5 minutes the exhaust starts glowing red hot. this morning its running even worse barely runs.(missing to the point i had to shut it down). put two bottles of valvoline water remover and 10 gallons of gas after i syphoned out as much of the watered-gas that i could. put new plugs in drove it 5 blocks with a slight miss. when i got home i started it up again and thats when all the above started happening. im at my wits end and just dont have the money to bring it to a shop right now. sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for read and any help

I'm not great with diagnostics, but, I think that your describing an engine that's running rich. By yourself a book and and a multimeter and go through all the sensors;IAC, HEGO.... Hopefully someone with more experience can give more pointed/easier advice.
Good luck,
Richard

might have a plugged cat. is it red just after the manifolds up to the first cats? that might be why it is running rough and the additives prolly arent helping

yes red at the first cat, banged on it didnt hear anything odd. just drained some oil and there is water in my oil as well. im pretty sure i dint drive into the bay what the f***!!!! head gasket? or could that be from all the water in the gas running through the engine somehow?

the exhaust only gets red on the pass.side of the engine.
