now that's a bit of a stretch...

total output of the amps.don't figure in anything before the amps, such as the head unit.if there's two 200w amps driving the mids and a 500 on the sub, that's a 900w system.look at the sheets that come with the amp to see how they are rated....most make rated power at 2 ohms.this is why you want good amps, they pass a lot of power at this low impedance, cheap ones will burn out fast.

edit-there are no dumb questions....but sometimes there are dumb answers.

Thanks gwaii, always a help!

I always tell people "there are no stupid questions, only stupid people asking questions". LOL Not that it applies here but I say it to people at work all the time.

the truck looks amazing, i'll take 3. but whats the status on the carbon fiber paint write up? im dying to do it but cant find anything online that looks a good as yours.

they did it on powerblock i thin kit was was musclecar on project streetfighter

Hi, Amongst all the boats, trucks and other stuff (where do you get the time - do you buy it wholesale?) did I spot a GT6 Mk2 lurking in the background? Yet another project? Best of luck to you - I replaced the whole body on mine with a baby Cobra-ish fibreglass job...bye bye rust!

i was expecting to be doing a lot of work on this over the summer, but unfortunately my work got in the way of all my projects.the truck is used every day except in the summer(when the kids go off to stay with family)so it looks like next summer will be my first opportunity to do this.the whole truck needs a two-week teardown, and paint work is a big part of the job.

so,the exhaust leak seems like a little thing in the context of all that's been done to this truck...but i can tell you now that it's been fixed for a week or so-wow,what a difference-the truck is so much nicer to drive now without that ugly noise going on all the time.
wish i'd done it sooner.

i know how you feel, my bronco 2 had an exhaust leak for about 2 months. it sounded like a 2 stroke lawn mower and i hated it. i was just too lazy to fix it. pulled the manifold and it turnes out to be cracked. now she purrs and i look back and think "why didnt i do that sooner, im a moron"

ya,i can't believe i put it off for more than a year.feeling kinda dumb now.

oh,well....sure it won't be the last time.

No worries, I've got you both beat on the moron scale. I've been driving my truck with an exhaust leak somewhere around the manifold for the past year, and it'll probably be another year before I have time and money to fix it...and when that happens, I'll probably spend it on something else :D

that's the problem with exhaust leaks....they're kinda annoying, but not so much that you are forced to do something about it.

put it off,put it off,but like having a toothache,it feels so much better when it's dealt with-even if getting it dealt with is an unappealing experience in itself.

a little while ago i mentioned the retractible side steps on a customer's truck.i was working on the truck yesterday,so i made a short vid of these in action.

kinda cool, and they seem pretty reliable.don't know how they would stand up to mud and abuse, though.

Those would be sweet on the wife's jeep.
She's kinda short.........Dont tell her I said that...........Please.........lol!

they are handy....it makes it a lot easier getting into the truck, and they are out of the way the rest of the time.

that truck is sick, i want one to lug all my friends around in. you did a great job by the way it looks like it rolled off the line like that.
