Now I need help...

It's BACK...........

OMG !

Well, well, all of that (below) and it's back.

see

Replacing the ECM harness end as we speak.

So NOW, it's later this day.....

SO, warm... (NOT the engine) if the ECM is warm, everything works great, NO stumble, NO farting, engine can go from cold 25f to fully warm, and NO problem, BUT, if the ECM gets cool (open the window while driving....) BANG ! starts to act up...

I'm thinking connector pins....

We will see....

Different ECM from Scrapyard, HOLLY S*&^ !!!!!!!!!!!!

SO NOW, I've just proved that the old ECM was junk, I'm getting only one Code (other than 11)

Code 41, (HEGO) I get the 41 in both KAM, and KOER, but, only an 11 in KOEO.

AND, I only get the 41 (SEL Light comes on and stays on) AFTER warm-up, (goes into closed loop mode and Bang, SEL light comes on).

SO, Yet another gremlin from this POS truck.

It was a parts truck in the first place, The guy I bought it from claimed "It's garbage on gas" (now I see why).

So many wiring problems, It was an amalgamated truck in the first place (88 frame, 89 cab).

I'm now on the HEGO hunt.

Oh, BTW.... NOW that I've seen the timing light before (on the old ECM) and on the new one, I NOW know that the ECM was scrap a long time ago, (Had a funny flash AND the timing (with the SPOUT plug pulled) was erratic right from the get go (Should have known).

SO, I would say this, if you check the timing with a TL (and the SPOUT plug pulled), and the mark bounces all over the place (and you know the TFI & Distributor are good), then assume it's the ECM.

A year of frustration.............. for nothing.......................
