My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
yep. I don't like my wife's prius (nothing wrong with it, just sheer male ego) and I just had to go rescue my mom and my blazer off the side of the road.

I am scared poopless of the blazer leaving us stranded somewhere.

this time the neg battery cable came loose, not the bolt, the bolt was so tight I could hardly move it with my battery wrench (don't remember the size but its a X.5mm that I tossed in the glove box) but the neg cable was so loose that it was not making contact. I don't know if I should blame Chevy for the stupid side post set up or blame the crappy duralast gold battery or the stupid jumpstart post I had to buy so I would have the ability to get jumper cables on it.

in contrast. The Dually and the Lincoln are both older and have 3x the mileage and far fewer issues and not worried about either leaving us stranded..... well ... the starter is getting weak in the Lincoln and due for replacement soon and my wife lost the key somewhere, I am waiting on a new key, so it had to be towed home from the airport).

anyways I think I am going to put stainless steel washers between the battery and the cable and hope that tightens it up.

stainless steel washers work fine for now. I can't move the cables. If this doesn't work them I am going to try lock washers.

Side post batteries are just annoying. We cut the cable ends off and when with a top stud battery. Not even a top post. But the ones like the deep cycle marine or semi battery on our last chevy. And this silverado will get it once it needs a battery.
