back to the old drawing board. What are you gonna do replace the arms? beef them up?

not sure yet

Got it torn apart today to inspect the damage. The spindle seems to be unharmed. Have to check it tomorrow after I clean it up better.

Wow, you did a number on that stub shaft!!!

I'm actually kind of surprised to see the DOM fail. Looks like the Ford end of the radius arm did fine though.

Looks like it had been cracked for a while....time for some more beef!

Hard to tell, the tube side (not the "C" side) didn't have any rust/dirt on the break.

Fwiw I DID NOT build those arms. I had a fabracation shop build them for me.

very cool truck, I dig.... its weird how i havent been on for so long and alot of the people that had similar trucks to me 2-3yrs ago... have gone the same route that I have now... Time to throw in 35spline stubs!

what size tires are those.. just 36's? they look small.

38x12.50 15 TSL SX's

Soon hope to be wearing some 40" LTB's and yes I am looking for 35 spline stuff

oh wow, they look small on that truck. 40's will look good, and 35spline stubs will probably mean no more breaky :D

Took the radius arm pieces off the truggy and it appears that the DOM must have been cracked prior to the break. The bottom half of the DOM was discolored and dark compared to the fresh breaks from Saturday. Thought I had a piece of my 1.25" .250 wall here at the house but turns out it must be in my tool box at work. Gonna sleeve the inside of the radius arm, weld it up, reattach the broken section weld that, then sleeve the outside and weld that. Then per Collins conversation with me I will get a piece of 90 and weld that the length of the arms with the point (corner) facing down. Run that until I can gather the goods for a 3 link

When I got the newest version of the truck finished I thought it was to tall to. But after driving it and wheeling it is very stable, probably the most stable version of the truck and its seen quite a few different vararations through out the last few years.

narrow axles on coils up front, narrow axles on leafs up front, full width axles on coils, now one tons on coils.

I'm sure you will, but some plug welds will help the strength of the sleeve repair significantly.

Obviously the impact in Attica finished off the left arm......but clearly it was on its way because I crawled underneath today and inspected the right arm...

I lost about an inch of ground clearance under the arm, but whatev if it keeps me wheeling.

Dang. I'll have to keep an eye on mine. Glad I took 3 passes when welding em.
