Not Another CTOR Build

I had 10.25" of clearance under the diff before with the tires @ 4psi and now I have 12"

Well worth it! Seems like such a small difference but it will pay of big time on the rocks. I only gained 2" from my high clearance pans on the rockwells from my last build but after taking it out it seemed like I had unimog axles compared to stock. Id just put the jack under the right side of the rear when you oil it to over fill a little

Yeah the last two times out I bounced the lip and got hung up by that lip from the 14 bolt on every rock/stump on the trail.

adding to the cage

On the 14 bolt, did you just cut and then grind the lip off until smooth with the bottom of the diff or did you cut a portion of the lower diff and weld on a steel patch?

in all reality the thickness of the housing itself esp in that bottom area is not very thick.

Either cut the lip off and leave the housing itself alone or cut enough to weld in a much larger plate then the area cut open.

Are you going to skin the fenders or just tube them out?

I like the zip ties on the grill :D
I just now noticed the, uh difference lol
Looks good.

yep zip ties.....won't matter in the end, the grille will just end up smashed anyways.

As far as fenders...who knows at this point, see what happens after next weekend and how the truck survives lol.

It's just to damn hot to work outside right now

HAd a good trip to the BAdlands. Survived all the first day with no breaks, and almost all the second day. But the inevitable happened and I broke.

I busted my LF radius arm right off at the Stock Peice where the tube slides over, which led to my Shock getting all bent up, and my hub lockout and stub shaft shattered.

Heres some pics

Ended up getting winched up and over by two winches and we secured the axle with rachet straps front and rear and made the drive through the park and back to the camp ground.
