Not Another CTOR Build

i took two of the leaves from the pack that was in the truck before and removed the overload from the 63" springs and added the other two to the 63's. That make any sense.

oh and those are new pads int he pic, just put them right before the shot. Gotta have the truck done and ready for next weekend. aking it up to Twisted Trails ORV park here in MI for jeep fest lol

63's mounted but to tired to take pics, had to move the front leaf mount forward and drop it down to keep my lift height with no blocks. I added two of the old leaves to the chevy pack, but i think i may pull those out.

pics of the before after of the 63" chevy spring swap.......I retained the same lift height before/after

*the area of the front spring mount where i cut the bolt hole off is welded to the steel plate, you just can't see the weld in the picture. Whats not seen in the pic is the L Bracket on the back side of that steel plate that connects to the bottom of the frame rail and has peices of metal going from the bottom of the plate to the frame ral sideways as a cross brace/bridge.

*those are stock 89 rear 4wd chevy leafs from a 4x4 truck, the only modification to the springs is i cut the over load. The over load is still there its just no wider/longer then the spring perch.

my second "solid" diff cover just came in

Way to get $hit done man, no foolin around with you. I hope those chevy leafs do well for you, hopefully there is an RTI at the event.

I get a kick out of how much room the front tire has and how little room the back tire has, lol. I know, it works, so good, roll with it.

yeah the rear was never really a problem before, the tires flex into the tub but not the lip of the 1/4. But now with the chevy springs, the tires touch the lip so trimming is in order

Well the rear is a problem now, they flex much better and now get into the rear and started carving up my TSL's

Trip went well, carnage at the moment
1st Day
broke the grille off the truck in the first couple hours
Lots more body damage
2nd Day
Raining so i had my full door on and with the window down i pivoted on the door against a tree and exploded the glass, also broke the outside dorrhandle and the door wouldn't close after that. Pulled the door off then later pivoted aain and caught the b pillar pretty bad
Smashed the pass. door and now the window won't roll up all the way.
bent my exhaust which pinched it off, unbolted the glass pack to flow exhaust again but the cats are bent up and shoot exhaust right at the floorboard under the pass. seat
and at the end of the trip the RF broke.

only thing i care about is the Hub the rest is meaning less to me

the winch got a hell of a workout, but never to recover me. Their was a spot at the bottom of a hillside in the woods really off camber and extremely muddy, had to pull cable several times to clear the trail of other rigs stuck and sliding off the trail and out of the way.

someobdy asked a while ago what my new wheelbase was its 98"'s stock is 94"s

How is that twisted trails? Do you need insurance on your rig? I don't insure my pig because its trail only and some parks wants insurance and all that.

not sure, but i have insurance on mine even though its a trail rig. Its not plated however. I carry insurance on it cause my policy will cover accidents on/off road. If i roll my truck and i or a passenger get hurt, they will be covered. :icon_thumby:

started clearancing for the rear tires......tht trip to TT really tore up my RR tire when it got stuffed. Really ripped up the oter lugs of the TSL's. But i have retty much taken care of that problem now. Now i just need to finish it up and it'll just about be ready for another trip back out to TT this coming weekend.
