No idea on the insurance side, but I was going slow enough I could have gotten off the tractor and overseen the situation, while still in motion...

I have one unit of internet (DSL, 1mbps on average I'm pretty sure), I refuse to conform to the norm plus I just don't feel like buying a laptop or tablet....

The tractor got the box in just fine, then I decided to move random stuff in, all of my Honda's are in the building including the 200ES with 200X plastics and front suspension... All but the green one and the last 3 wheeler drove into the shop under their own power...

The tractor didn't really want to move the lift into the shop... I think that was the limit of the loader capacity... I couldn't steer very accurately with the front tires that flat...

Ok, long time no post in this but I'm getting further... I've moved a bunch of junk into the shop and done some projects but still running off an extension cord which is annoying but workable...

A couple weeks ago I had the electrician come over and get things moving on the electrical side again, it's what I need to get done to get the permit finalized... I've been waiting because electrical stuff is expensive, now it's coming down except conduit and I can pay for it so screw it... The current estimate is $4500 with me digging the trench from the power pole to the shop plus whatever the power company will charge... but I'm going to put a 320A service to the shop and later down the line remove the meter from the house and run off the shops meter which will get rid of the overhead line going to the house that is in an annoying location with a really dumb tension wire to go laterally a few feet...

It's now been like 10 months since the floor was poured and it is still in good shape, the saw cuts worked great, just hairline cracks at the post ends of the cuts like there's supposed to be, it is really nice to have a level place to work on stuff... It would be nice if I could weld without playing dumb games... one of the pictures is my first weld in the shop that had my welder hooked to the generator with a fan by the exhaust blowing it out the door... the last pic is me FINALLY finding a use for those rear window gun racks, the top one looks scary by current standards but it is just a .177 pellet gun for yard pests, the 20 ga shotgun under it is for the same use, mainly subterranean...

Been a bit since I've been in this thread, spent another few grand and got electricity (new transformer, underground line to the shop with meter at the shop then underground to the house) to the shop, apparently a 320A service now (200A mains to both the shop and house) so I have plenty to do what I want. Finally got the final inspection done last Thursday so the stressors are done! Now I just gotta recoup on the $$ side so I can build an office/loft and clean things up... in the mean time I'll get the 2 post lift stood up in the next couple months to clean up some floor space... I have some pics floating around but don't have them on the puter yet, I'll post them later...

A couple decades ago, my area had a slew of "imploding" houses from a particular builder who built houses a decade before that. He'd clear the land, bury the debris, then build the house on top of it.

Man, I'm bad at updating things... although I guess I haven't really done much since the last post... I have bought 36 sheets of 7/16" OSB and have 12 mounted to the walls so far and painted, then bought a Husky 90"x90" heavy duty shelf last week and started cleaning up this weekend, doesn't look much different but it's a bit better. Today I got the attic vent fan deal I've had for a while mounted, next weekend I'll get the louvers mounted on the outside, I got to that project too late today... I've been fighting a couple colds for a few weeks now (wife is in child care and one came from a coworker while my immune system was compromised) so anything is progress...

Conveniently that door and frame are metal, and it is the primary entrance, at some point I'll add a dead bolt most likely but I haven't gotten that far yet...
