What fitting did you strip out?

the male fitting at the end of the brake line on the frame.

got it figured out. we got the threads fixed, the line back together, i bled the system out and its all good. i got 4:10s now!!! i put in the lift blocks so now the backs waaay to high. im gonna take them out and wait till i have spindles to put them back in.

You'd need a die not a tap to fix the threads on a male fitting, Riebes might have one but I have no idea actually of brake line fittings using a commonly available die.

Another option which is probably easier is to just buy another fitting, rent a flaring tool (or buy a cheapie from Harbor Frieght) and then cut and re-flare the existing tube with the new fitting.

we filed it down and cut some threads by hand, just enough to get it started, then it got itself in just fine. thanks for the info, i hope i never have to deal with this problem again though. that sucked..

well i picked up a new rear end today. 31 spline 8.8 with discs for free. so my old one is up for sale. 31 spline 8.8 with drums spring over conversion 3.73s ls. $50.00

so I put that manual hub on, lasted 2 weeks and grenaded... its made of a lot of ****ing plastic and it melted and burned up the bearings and ate up my cv axle and hub... stupid piece of shit. I doubt I can do much other than to get my money back for some bunk ass hubs... they wont pay for it to be fixed. I made my hub and cv axle work for now, but im going to have to replace them soon.

on another note im not in stockton anymore!

ben i can get you the live axle setup for $120. that is both cv's and wheel bearings. if anyone is interested (dayne) i also have a set of warn manual locking hubs for d35 ttb $50

got the rear diff oil changed, brake system bled, and the HIDs reaimed. productive ass day.

hahahahahaha pwned. wes I might take you up on that, for now im being conservative with money. but we shall see what happens.

Productive day.... that's like an hour and a half of work :thefinger:
