I'm sitting here trying to understand Ya'lls conversation but it must be too early for me to comprehend. 1 3/4x 3/8 wall dom. 7/8 x 3/4 Hiems is the way to go. Over kill? Maybe but if your like me you make shit overkill in the beginning because you can't afford to fix it everytime you go out.

on another note. I finally got my new spindle and hub in the mail a day ago. now I can fix my truck and try to make it to hollister again. I might actually make it this time if I quit braking shit before I get there. Kind of scarred to wheel it. I have a big wheelin trip planed out next month up at shaver and don't know if I can afford another break down before we leave.

morg, always make it stronger than you think it needs to be, especially something you want to go fast in... you mob down the desert at 60 and your steering takes a shit... well thats just all bad...

I sold the hd 44 and I am picking up a dana 60 high pinion from a ford with high steer on it and arp studs this would have happened much sooner if it wasnt for my moto that blew up. which by the way, crank is in the shop getting rebuilt with the new connecting rod put on. hopefully have it running soon and have a fully built motor hehehehe.

why you going dana 44? everyone I know with 44s is breaking them to kingdom come... goooooooo 60! save up and do it right wes, thats why i sold my hd 44 instead of using it. if randdy is breaking them on 35s, imagine what you will do.

I can't afford to drop $1000 or more on an axle right now and I got the 44 for free with cromo shafts. We have beed running a 44 under the jeep with 38's for years with only 1 break and it was a lifetime warrenty shaft. It doesn't matter what I have I'm going to break it
