86 w 2.9. Lost the tach, temp, and fuel gauge. Anyone have any ideas as to why? Circuit board woes, ground?

Thanks for any help

I was going to suggest the ivr but I don't think it would take the tach out. Did they all go out at the same time?

Not sure according to the previous owner they did, just bought the truck

Well the tach cluster has the tach, FLI, and oil pressure all on one head, I'd guess its a bad head. Go look for a new cluster.

Up date, checked for some bad connections on the back of the cluster, no dice. The Temp guage reads but only goes from below the bottom line to the bottom line, I know it gets warmer than that cause the heater cranks out the heat well. The fuel guage no workie at all. The Tach is very strange, it would apear to be working backwards. It goes all the way around to the bottom and as you give it gas it moves counter clockwise up a little way but never gets back into the number range. I have also noticed that when I have the intermitant wipers going every time the the wipers move the tach needle jumps or ticks slightly. I'm thinking I'm gonna be chasing a bad ground for a while but what do you all think? Anyone have this problem before? It also has a current draw that I haven't tracked down yet, and it has a new alternator that is charging well.

Any reason the tach would go backwards? and no I have not found any wires reversed.

Good news, the current draw just went away

Man this truck is doing some funky things
