I have this loud popping noise when I brake. It sounds like the noise is coming from the front part of the floor board. Hubs are unlocked, I've replaced the entire steering system from the pump to the tie rod ends, it has new upper and lower ball joints as well as new radius arm bushings but I can't seem to find the source of this damn noise. The only time I notice it is when I'm coming to a stop. It only does it once until I go forward again. Has anyone had anything similar to this? Oh, btw my truck is a '93 ranger supercab, 4" rc, 3" bl with 35's.

check ur radius arm bushing bracket and ur axle pivot bushings

Also check that the radius arm-to-axle beam bolts are torqued properly.

I've also see a loose lining (riveted) on a brake pad cause a clunk similar to what you're describing.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. With the aid of a chassis ear and my service manager we were able to find that it was not in fact coming from the front at all. It was the left rear brake shoe shifting inside the drum so hard that I was able to feel it in my floor board.

Thanks again everyone.
