hello, i drive a 2008 ranger sport with 4wd and a/c. i have less than 90 k on it and use it for my work/play needs.

recently i have noticed that when i am driving at any speed and i take my foot off the accelerator, i feel a vibration and hear a noise.

when i go to stop i can hear a clicking noise but no vibration. and it clunks harshly when i shift.

i think the problem is coming from the ring and pinion not meshing properly.
however i dont know for sure. any help would be much apprechieated!!!!

Check the ujoints in the driveshaft.

k, just wanted an extra opinion.

are there after market u-joints out there that are tougher than normal and work at steeper angles without premature wear that anyone knows of?

Yep, sure do. Just don't buy them from AutoZone...lol
Google it you should be able to find something. I get my ujoints from a shop here in town.
