I need some opions and/or help my beloved Mazda B4000 4x4 has a noise in the 5 speed tranny makes the gears whine when driving.... if sitting without clutch pedal pressed has a bad knock.... but press the pedal in and it goes away i have no clue why its doing it just started couple days ago.... and truck has a 1 month old clutch and throw out bearing in it and shifts fine....What could be the problem????

have you checked the fluid? you might have a bad bearing. and as far as the knock goes it sounds like the throw out bearing is bad

yeah fluid is full and throw out bearing is brand new i was told there is an internal bearing in the tranny that could be bad???

sounds like the problem mine had . The bearing you are refering to may be the inputshaft bearing. The m5od trans has ,I believe 3, rubber plugs on top of the trans on the shift rail, these tend to leak and in doing so may starve the input shaft of oil.All the bearings in this trans are very stout tho

also just because it's a "new" part doesn't mean it's good. ran to the parts store 3 times last week just to get a "new" rad. cap that wouldn't leak.

So last night i lost 1,2,3,5,R had to lock in 4th 4Lo to get home so i am now decideing on if i want to keep the 4.0 runs great or V8 5speed swap

hmm.. sounds familar. lol

mine is locked up in 4th (won't come out at all) because of a few things. mainly because i got too rambunkish speed shifting one day (3rd gear syncro and whatever it is that stops the shifter going to far got damaged). and i don't mean gear jamming, i was using the clutch.
then letting someone else work on it lead to, low fluid (dummys didn't refill it) and a few other things i have yet to find out about (haven't tore it out yet).

Have you tried pulling the shifter stub and looking at it and the bushings?
