2000 ford ranger 2.5 engine. when engine is cold i get a no1 cylinder misfire. compression is good, swapped injectors (1 and 4 and 2 and 3),but misfire is always in no1. new spark plug wires, cleaned injectors, new coil packs, coolant sensor is good, new ECU.
When engine temp is normal engine runs fine.

possible sticky valve. hook up a vacuum gauge to the motor when cold, if it pulls steady, it most likely ok. but if its bouncing around its time to dig further into the head.
