No tach - tach

I have a 5-speed manual but i do not have a tachometer in the factory instrument panel. So i am wondering how easy it would be to install a a factory instrument panel that has a tachometer.

Its a 95 2.3 if that helps. Thanks in advance.

dunno about the newer style, but i know 94 and older you can just swap in a cluster from a vehicle that came with a tach and plug it right in. no rewiring. Like i said i'm not positive it's the same way for the 95 and up clusters, but if you search a bit i'm sure you could firgure it out rather easily.

yeah, just find one that looks the same with a tach, it'll go right in

Find a factory tach cluster.
I am running an exploder tach and it works... just reads lower than RPMs are. Don't really know how to fix it. Avoid my headache and buy a correct 4-cylinder tach.

There is no difference between a I4 and V6 tach. You must have a bum one or the needle is not positioned correctly. I ran an Explorer tach in my Lima without any problems, it read dead on.

same, i'm running an exploder tach in my truck too. if it's reading half of what it should you've got a problem with the ignition system somewhere.

You Can Put An Aftermarket Tach In Easy The Wire You Tap Into Is On The Plug On Your Cluster
