Longshot....

But check your TFI, make sure its secure. I had one rattle loose on a 300 6 once.

Also, make sure the dist cap is tight. Those can rattle loose to.

I replaced the distributor and replaced the cap and rotor, the TFI is also secure.

Do a wiggle test on the ignition module connector. I had one that would only work if I pulled it out a little bit so it wasn't fully seated.

Did the wiggle test with a friend and in the dark but nothing changed.
