no spark cold motor

i got a 92 ranger 2.3 it does not have spark on cold start. i have replaced the battery, plugs, wires, coils, ignition module, temp sensor. However it cranks great you can roll start it, or hook jumper cables and it will start off the key.

i would check you're starter relay first,since you mentioned that truck fires when you jump it,its possible you're relay is not providing the nessecary 12 volts for you're ignition system to fire,any trouble codes?

i have replaced the solinoid on the fender just left that off my previous post. and no codes

Ignition pickup coil. Aka hall effect sensor.

are you talking by the crank pulley

sounds like you've got a bad connection somewhere, if it fires on alternator juice but not battery juice.... yea, dirty battery terminals? only reason i can think for it to fire off a jump...

No, in the distributor under the rotor. Have to remove whole thing to replace.
