No spark At Coil

to my understanding if i thro a plug on the boot coming out of the coil. and throw the switch over,, it should spark, its not. am i doing it wrong or do i have a bigger problem?

The wire that goes on top of the dist from the coil? Yes.

Computer getting power? Do you have +12v at the coil?

Yes, i have 12volts on the coil. and i seen it spark only 1 time. is there any way to test the computer?

Did it spark once the key was turned off?

Pulling codes would be a good start to check it's sanity.. Look for ECC-IV diagnostics in the technical library.

If it's intermittent, it could be a busted wire "somewhere". I am not well verse with the TFI-IV ignition system, I really haven't had to get my hands dirty in it. However, I would probably start with looking in detail on how it works to get ideas on testing where the fault might be.
