No Spark After Parts Cannon

I'd really appreciate that. I could mail you both of my EDIS to check if they work too.

I completely forgot to look when I got home last night, I'll check when I get there tonight, for real this time, haha.

Here is an update and some new ideas I had. Sadly still no luck.

This is the crank position signal probed with everything plugged in by piercing the insulation. Seems strong enough at cranking speed. ~0.7vac is within book spec.

It gets a bit interesting when I probe the IDM line. Left is the PIP signal we know before. Falling edge indicates a coil being fired. Right is the IDM signal. Book says that this pulse happens once per engine revolution, but obviously it occurs once per ignition event. It also happens under cranking indefinitely. I do not understand why it can apparently understand the engine is rotating but not bother sparking.

The strangest behavior of all is when the engine is not cranking. Key on, engine still gets a random IDM signal.

I probed every wire in the system to shorts to ground and power. Nothing strange occurs there. Right before posting I found this manual attached below. I will go through this exactly once tomorrows snow storm melts.

you are sure your injectors are firing? and the gas is burnable?

OK so final update now that I fixed it. I was right, it was something as stupid as the harness between the CPS and the EDIS being faulty. I had tested its continuity, measured the AC voltage at the EDIS connector, and scoped the signal at the EDIS connector. I made up a new temporary harness and pinned it into the connector and it fired the first cylinder to hit compression.

If I weren't so happy I'd be frustrated right now. :)
