New here, but from what i have read, some of you guys are smarter then some rocket scientists i'v seen.
I have been playing with fords for about 35 years, old skool style, not to up or want to be to up on the electronic stuff.
I got ahold of a 1990 ranger 4.0 with a 2 inch lift and 35'' rubber and the junker of a tranny the A4LD.
It has been setting for about 4 years and we pulled it up to get it running.I changed the fuel filter{ it still had pressure in the line
} changed plugs, alternator was bad, and gave it a worl, lots of fuel no spark.had a guy put his elect. tester gizzy on it, said the coil pack was bad, ok changed it, a wad of money later
still no spark, had another shop tell me no signal from the computer to tell his tester whats wrong. Then they suggested changing the ied, if still no spark then the crank senser, then the main computer.
Wait a minute, there is got to be a better way to test things before you just go changing stuff. Help please:
