No reverse lights

I just bought a 2000 ranger and have noticed the reverse lights aren't working, bought new bulbs and no luck, checked the fuses and they seem okay. Any help?

What does that have to do with reverse lights?

I have the same question. 3rd brake light works and the cargo/reverse lights don't. They share the same ground so that is not the issue. Both bulbs are good as the filament is in one piece. Is there a relay that specifically does the cargo lamps? Is there a switch in the cab to activate them? Sorry for threadjacking, but I think it is relevant.

May be different on Ford, but on my Jeep with auto tranny, after replacing neutral safety reverse lights were inop. Adjusting the switch and they came back on.
