I have a 2000 Ford Ranger automatic 2.5l with 163,000 miles on it. The transmission was doing this thing to where when I shifted from park to drive it wouldn't catch sometimes so you'd have to go down to 1st then back up. Lately it's been not even catching when I drop it to first then go back up. Then today leaving from work, it all of a sudden starts working then I try to back up and my reverse is gone. It sits in park fine, but my reverse is gone, neutral is like drive, drive is normal and 1st and 2nd are normal as well. I had an issue where the overdrive light was flashing and it was shifting hard but the issue went away and now this is happening.
