No rear end Expo.

Worked on lugnut#5 today. Nothing. Also pulled the ford sticker off. Jeep rim. No wonder it's giving me all these problems.

One word: "leverage".
If you don't have access to a heavy duty impact wrench, you're gonna need leverage. Assuming you have a socket that fits it tightly, a cheater bar (pipe) should either loosen the nut or wring it off. At this point, I'd think either one is a win, because I'm guessing the nut is cross threaded anyway so the stud will likely need to be replaced.

Know anyone with an induction heater?

Oh yeah. I've already bent a cheater bar. Its been soaked with penetrant (?). Heat is next but all I have is a butane torch and dont k ow if it will do the job.

Sounds like you need a bigger cheater. Time to bust out the "I will break thee".

"Mapp gas will save your ass"

It's worth the $13 for a bottle. I will never go back to butane or propane.

Pencil tips are useless. Mapp and a rosebud will do exactly less than half the work of a real torch.

It's not perfect. But it has gotten me out a lot binds.

^^What he said. It's at best a 7/16" stud. I've twisted them into with a 24" breaker bar in my younger days. I don't work that hard anymore.

Edit: Just a thought, but have you tried "tightening" it? It's a long shot, but some idiot may have installed a left handed thread stud in it at some point. Either way, if you can get it to tighten a little, it may help in breaking it free.

Well I got lugnut#5 off.

Broke the gears in my big ratchet. When i replace it, I'm also going to get a breaker bar or whatever it's called. You can see that I have 5 more lugnuts to go because of a wheel adapter/spacer.

Luckily it's locked up and not stripped out. I was able to lock the hub in place with a strategically placed pipe and got all the lugnuts broke lose. Tap tap here. Tap tap there and it's off.

Get a proto.

I have beat mine with hammers. Yes, that's a dumb thing to do.

Dgaf. They keep going and don't seem to mind.

Breaker bars are good too... good ones are anyway.
