Well I did it guys....I sold the Ranger. I was tired of not having any space and wanted to get an extended cab, fleet side bed, 4.0, five speed. Well I couldn't find one in my area for a reasonable price that fit my needs and wants. So I found this f-150 and just couldn't pass it up. Its a '97 Lariat 4x4,has 100k on it,4.6 triton, and is super clean inside and out. I got it for $5,500 cash out the door from a local dealership. I couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of the ride, and condition of it. It really is a pleasure to drive, but I miss "Rachell" my Ranger. That was a hell of a truck, and hopefully will be taken care of by it's new owner. Sorry rachell.:bawling:

So last night I gave my girlfriend a ride home from a friends house, and when we walked up to my truck and she asked "Is this your truck?" I said "yes" Then she said.....Yup. you guest it...."That's cute" I couldn't help but think of that thread from the tailgate "cute truck" I got a real kick out of it. Just thought I'de share.

Thanks Tom. She's doing much better. She went back to work the day after she got out of the hospital! She's something else! Never fails to impress me.

I'll be sticking around for sure. I plan on getting a 1'st on 2'nd gen with my tax return....well if i get one. It changes every year even though I dont change what I put in. Haha. But yeah, im gona build a wheeling only machine, and cant wait. Thanks man

Nice looking truck.

I know your girl has been through alot, but its no excuse. Next time the words, that's cute leave her lips you need to donkey punch her.

Seriously though, glad to know shes doing well. I dont know what I would do without my wife. Our spouses are truly one of Gods greatest blessings.(and curses but we're being positive right now)

:icon_rofl: That's all I can say.

I'm thinking:leveling kit, 33's, tuner and exhaust and some 12" subs. I don't plan on wheeling it to crazy like. Just don't want to get stuck.

Is it 4x4? I'll be damned, and I even read the entire original post and still missed it. Better crank the Tbars. your sittin like a 2wd

Yeah I don't want to crank the T-bars too far. I remember how much it destroyed the ride (comfort wise) with my ranger. I might turn them up a little, but not much. Just enough to fit 33's and not look goofy. I'm pretty sure they will fit fine with little modification.

On the other hand I could put rockwells on it with 48's and a 500hp mustang cobra engine..... Yeah that's probably what I'll do. I'm not scared:icon_hornsup:

Nice looking truck, I have its newer twin (except yours is a Lariat)

Kind of unusual to see a '97 that still has the side exhaust, most of those where replaced under warrenty for doing funny things to the rear wheel. Whoever had my brother's '97 at the time got the exhaust extension, and a new wheel with 5 new lug nuts.

They are good trucks, I have had mine for 4.5 years and love it.
