I replaced my head light switch because it wouldn't turn on my dome light. Now when I turn on my dome light it pops the fuse for my instrument cluster. I took the switch back and exchanged it for another to Se if maybe it was faulty but still does the same thing. Any ideas what would cause this?

Check for burnt out bulbs in the cluster. I went round and round with mine for a long time a few years ago looking for what was popping that same fuse. Turned out a burnt out bulb was at fault.

I'm not sure if this would matter but I was tapped into an empty spot on the fuse block to power my fan. It's a constant hot black wire with an orange stripe.

I checked all the bulbs in the cluster and they are all good to go?

check for any melted wires or pulled wires leading from the instrument cluster. also have you tapped into any wires?

I checked the cluster and the plugs didnt see anything melted and I wasnt tapped into any wires just an empty soot im the fuse box.
