strongly think of getting off this site, since i bought my ranger I've always looked here for mods to lower it and what not, asked many questions because i wanted to do it right the first time turns out no one really helps here lol i wanted to post my pics of all the stuff i do like my 60/40 seat my och console, my center subwoofer console, gauges, and lowering from 3/4 to 5/6, c notch install, interior trim all with many pictures and pretty much step by step, then i go back and see the help i never got, if no one helps why should i? right. well looks like the guys who know their stuff on ranger just don't help or don't care for others sucks but i guess that's the way this site works.

Sorry, I guess I never saw any of your posts.

Although most of the stuff you listed there falls outside my area of experience and knowledge.

Ah yes, good old kaleco. I used their spark plugs, and I tell you what, my wires leak so much less spark now.

My truck also goes much faster and gets better mileage since I put in the cross-drilled brake hoses.

then i go back and see the help i never got, if no one helps why should i?

This.

I too have come across some problems with my Ranger that was not covered in depth in the Tech Library and at the time either the knowledgeable folks for that area were either gone fishing or drinking with their buddies or taking their wife/ and or girlfriend to the submarine races (it's like they have an entire life outside TRS!!, Insane, isn't it?)

So what did I do about it? figured the problem out by looking at other posts on here and other forums that dealt with my issue and then grabbed my toolbox and camera and fixed it, and I documented the fix and made a write up and submitted it to the Tech Library so that subsequent members would have a quick guide and not have to reinvent the wheel.

If you have a weird problem or you are wanting to do a mod that is unique or not well known, you might just be a pioneer in that area and what you learn would be valuable to other members that might want to do that mod later on. again document it and submit it.

Bottom line is, the world doesn't owe you anything. but you will get much further in it by not being a tool and expecting the world to place everything in your outstretched and open hand.

Yup ^^^

Well said

In the last 14 years I've been on here, I've gone from the guy asking stupid questions and tinkering on silly things here and there, to not having much left "stock" on the truck, or at least the way I got it in '99... Since I work on engines for a living (programming spark, fuel and governing) that's kinda my area of expertise and will gladly help where I can, I've even donated parts to get some people in a bind out... I've written at least one tech article that is still floating around I think (flag style mirror fix). In that 14 years life has also happened, I went about 2 years without posting on here, I was in a relationship that was putting a strain on the rest of my life, but I'm recovered from that, buying a house, fixing the garage, rebuilding the daily driver's engine and transmission, then check in every day or two to see if I can help someone out. I'm with the others, as you can see from my truck lowering isn't really my thing, I respect most of it but just isn't my cup of tea.

And another thing. People have already teased me in the past about my high post count. If I stopped and posted something to say I didn't know, every time I didn't know the answer to a question, just so someone didn't think their thread was being ignored my post count would be double or triple what it is now.

this comment is for 97lowranger :
people are volunteering their time and expertise and because of that some posts do fall unanswered....

if you can't accept that then good riddance !!!!!:thefinger::thefinger::thefinger:

Too bad you did not use the Search button we have on this site or go to our many other areas on this site. We have some great Tech areas that I have used when I had a question or two. There is good section for lowered rides on this site. If you can't find what you want here, then use the internet. There are millions of sites that can help with your questions. Google is great.
