I installed my radio last night and now I have no gauge lights. It's an 88 extended can Xlt and there was 2 ignition 12 volts and 1 constant. I tried using one of the ignition wires and it blew the fuse for the lights so I switched to the other one and it blew the fuse for the warning chimer. So I tried both together and now if I turn the headlights on the radio comes on without the ignition being on. Please help I drive in the dark on my way to work every morning!

Put everything back like you found it. Drive to work without a radio! Then get someone that knows a bit more about installing a radio to do it for you.

What happened is that something is mis-wired, badly.

Fuses blow for a reason, you need to figure out what that reason is and correct it before attempting anything else, and before worrying about getting the radio to work.

The radio works just not the gage lights. Thank you for the wiring color list I'll try and go back through it all tomorrow. I'm hoping I didn't fry that plastic circuit sheet on the back of the cluster

I got it fixed. Thanks Mazda for the wiring. I accidentally used the illumination for the ground and found out it was grounding through the antenna
