Hi guys and maybe gals

I've been lurking on this site for awhile and its saved me hundreds of dollars in repairs i've done myself (thank you) but i have another issue i can't seem to figure out.
I have a 2000 Ranger 4x4 with ABS. Unfortunately my rear brakes aren't working. After my 40 minute commute to work i decided to touch the rear drums and they were ice cold to the touch. Later i did a test on ice and with my foot on the brakes my rear tire were spinning in drive. About a year ago (10K miles) the pads and cylinders were replaced.. I tried to bleed the rear brakes last night and I just couldn't get the fluid flowing..Since i have 4 wheel ABS i don't have a proportioning valve (i was told that actually). Where should I look and where would there be a block?

First place I'd suggest is at the T on the rear axle.
Disconnect there and see if flow is getting TO the T (splitter).

I also suggest using a penetrating oil and it's worth buying a flarenut wrench set, if you don't already have them.
Those fittings tend to round off if you don't.

I suspect the rubber hose that feeds that T has clogged, so check the forward end of it too.

And Welcome to The Ranger Station!

I did just what you suggested and it worked. I took off the T connector with the hose and blew air through it. I reinstalled it and bled the brakes. Now I have rear brakes.. If the problem reoccurs I will just replace the hose next time.. Thank you very much. This is a great forum!

Sometimes the flex hoses (front too) break down internally and act like a check valve, blocking flow. I'd replace that one.
