Hi all,
I did a scan on my '94 2.3l Ranger and it says "canister purge solinoid". Well my truck doesn't seem to have one, not even on vacuum diagram. Is my scanner just dumb or am I?
TIA,
Bob

Unless it has been surgically removed, pretty sure all vehicles have had fuel tank vapor recovery systems for 30 years or so.
The vent should be between the canister and the intake, in one form or another. The canister may be hidden, but should be connected to the plumbing on the top of the fuel tank via a plastic(likely) line. Follow the fuel line and the return line and vapor line from the tank. They are likely routed together. You should come to the canister, and then follow from the canister to the valve... Or work backwards from the intake manifold.
