my 88 ranger has no a/c what so ever it has a fan thats it i repleace the heater core for winter but now its summer an im dieing of heat stroke inside the ranger :bawling:
i was wondering if instaling a/c is possible in my 88 ranger an if so what would i need

You'll need a new heater box with evaporator inside, a compressor, condenser, accumulator, orifice tube, all the lines/hoses to attach them together, new AC/heater controls in the dash, the little wiring harness under the hood, and the pressure switches. Overall its a pretty simple job, just plan on spending a lot on parts. Look for used parts to save money.

thank you for the help an the list of parts

Used parts may work, but make absolutely sure the parts are in good shape and don't show any sign of the "black death". Otherwise, you'll be doing it all again when your compressor grenades... Also, only use a new accumulator, never used.
