No 3rd Gear in Automatic Transmission

I have a 2003 Ranger Fx4 Level II with automatic transmission. It shifts fine from 1st to 2nd, skips 3rd and then eventually goes to 4th and 5th. Overdrive works. OD Light comes on trying to shift to 3rd. Codes read P0734 and P0735. Dropped pan, clean. Fluid is a good color not burnt. Even with OD light on it shifts smooth but skips 3rd. Don't want to remove tranny unless I have to! Any ideas. Thanks!

This probaly won't fix your problem but disconnect the battery for awhile. This way the computer will be dumb and have to relearn. This learning process includes shift points.
