newer mirrors on a 02

How much of a challenge would it be to get the newer style of mirrors onto a 02 ranger?

thank you! i have the basic ranger model mirrors and i am looking to upgrade
first picture ones i have,
second picture style i would like. would it be easier to switch the mirrors from an 02 to an 02

thank you! so if i dont have power mirrors there is no wires to be cut or anything?

Correct. If you don't already have power mirrors on your truck (and don't want to run the wiring for them), installing the new mirrors will be that much easier - not that it's hard to begin with. Also, if you get the manual mirrors, they'll obviously be less expensive than the power mirrors.

All you'll have to do is drill out the 3 existing holes in the door to a slightly larger diameter, then use some washers on the inside to hold them in place.

check my edit. would i be able to a xlt mirrors on a basic model with even less mods. i like the look of the 02 mirrors. i was a little confused i thought all 02 mirrors were like mine.

Oh okay, I thought you wanted the current style that started in 2006.

To go from the mirrors you have to the mirrors you want, I'm almost positive it's a direct swap with no modifications required. I'm not 100% sure, though.

Yeah at first thats what I wanted because i didn't know that there were mirrors like that for an 02 but I realized that when looking them up. thanks so much Jay fx4
