New to the ranger station and the ford brand(so much better than the pos grand am I had, I love this truck best vehicle I have ever had)

My truck is an 2004 ranger 3.0 v6 xlt
117 inch wheelbase
2 wheel drive

nothing fancy just stock currently.

I was looking through my maintenance schedule and it says to replace the pcv valve about every 30000 miles. Does anyone know where it's located at on an 04 3.0 v6. The ford dealership said it was under the intake manifold, and not really worth replacing unless necessary. Is this true as well.

Thank you

Welcome to the Station! Sounds like a neat truck. I understand how you feel about the Grand Damn, mine just had the timing belt snap. Honestly, I don't know about the PCV valve on an '04, but it shouldn't need replaced unless necessary, but if you really want to do it, go for it. So do you actually ride a 'Busa, and if so let's get some pics of the Ranger and the 'Busa.

Hello and welcome! Your pcv valve is on top of the driver side valve cover closest to the firewall, you will see a rubber hose attached to it and it just pulls right out. This is not your year of engine, but it shows you where it is.
