Hey guys! Ive been lurking around here for the last month trying to find out as much infomation about Rangers. I'll be purchasing a 98-00 Ranger 4x4 or 4x2 very soon. My question is....Can 17 in wheels fit on a lifted 98-00 Ranger? How high would i have to lift? I already have a 3 in PA body lift to slap on the truck when i get it and i have 4 285-75-17 in BFG MTKM2's. Any help and PICS would be awesome. Thanks guys

You can put any size wheel you want on (as long as it's at least 15"), what matters is the overall diameter of the tire.
285/75R17s are close to 34" diameter, which may be a close fit, but may just clear being you have the 3" lift. A 265/75R17 would certainly be no problem at all though.

Welcome to the site

So if i did the whole 3 in body lift, torsion crank and add a leaf...should be fine, right?

i would at least go to a 33 inch tire anything smaller will look goofy. and ditch the add a leaf for a set of explorer springs same amount of lift but a lot nicer ride

What year of Explorer springs? Anyone have pics of 17in rims with just a 3in body? I think i saw 1 pic around here.
