Newbie to the 4cyl.

Hey guys i just bought a 02 ranger this weekend. clean little truck that is going to be my new project. its got the 4 cyl with automatic in it. i wish it was the v6 but oh well. my question is all the bolt on power stuff i see is for the 6cyl. is there just nothing out there for the 4 cyl or will it work with it too? Are we just stuck with the little underpowered motor we have?

I bought my Ranger when I was 16 years old, and while many vehicles from various manufacturers have come and gone, this is the one I'll probably be buried in. The point is, it's a 2.3L 4cylinder. It's not a V-8 or V-6. It's made to run forever and pull a light truck while keeping fuel costs down.

Hopefully you can find the add-ons you are looking for. If not, there are many threads and instructionals on this site detailing how to swap motors. The main thing to remember, however, is this motor is what it is.
