Hey guys, I just inherited a 1985 Ford Ranger 4x4 with the 2.8 v6. It has 117,000 original miles on it. It seem to have a loud "Tick" in the top end of the motor. I have talked to alot of people and they seem to think it is an exhaust valve. I hope to find out what this is soon. I have a 97 Powerstroke that has been parked due to the price of diesel and I am driving this ranger everyday now. It lacks alot in the power area, but it gets me from "A" to "B" great!

Check out my pics in the photo area of the site

I don't have one but i've heard other people saying some of the 2.8 have adjustable valves maybe that's all it is.I have a Duramax and I still like driving my B2 around town.
