I am new to the site and new to rangers. I just picked up my first ranger about a month ago. Its a 86. It had the 2.9 in it but the guy I bought it off of had swapped it out and put a carbed 2.8 in. Here comes my issue. It has a electric choke. Well they guy I got it off of ran a wire from the postive battery terminal straight across to the choke. Well with it done that way it keeps draining the battery. My question is how is it supposed to be wired? or what would be my best route of wiring this so it doesnt drain my battery. I am not completely car dumb but when it comes to wiring I know NOTHING, so any advice would be greatly appriciated and useful. Thanks

wire it into the fuse block to a switched power source

and welcome to the forums it is great to have you
