Newb a4ld ???

Ok im new i went to change my trans filter and found metal flake i mean small really small flake in the bottom of the pan. the old filter looks good the screen is clean. the oil was still bright red and didnt smell burnt. SO my question is my trans getting ready to go. it shifts fine. i was changing all the fluids in my ranger and thought it would me a good idea. thanks for the info .

Actually qute common no leaks shifts good run it till it pukes could be tomorrow or twenty years from now I wouldn`t worry too much about it. If your worried do some research on a good replacement to keep on hand for when the time comes there are some improvements to that tranny they are notoriously weak stock.
