So i just bought a 2000 ranger xlt. When i come to a stop, right at 5mph the pedal bounces a little and the steering wheel almost does a 180 to the right. Any guesses, im thinking a warped rotor.

A warped rotor would be more of a pulsing as the wheel rotates and the thick spot goes through the caliper. Ima guess you may have a caliper sticking or maybe an ABS issue. Maybe air in the other side line too. Might start with a good bleeding of the system, even a complete change of fluid. A 2000 model would be overdue for that anyway.

Is there a certain patter you gotta bleed them in? And do they sell brake fluid at your local autozone thanks for your service aswell

Yes there is a certain way to bleed your brakes. You'll want to start with the wheel that is the farthest away from the master cylinder and then the next closest and so on and so forth. As far as the brake fluid goes, look at the cap on the master cylinder and it will say either DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid and yes the local parts store should have it in stock.

As stated, start farthest from the master cylinder. Don't let the master cylinder get empty, and have someone patient to pump and hold the brake pedal for you.

You can buy a bleeder kit where you get the brake fluid. Have your helper pump the brakes a couple times and hold, then open the bleeder screw. When the fluid stops, close the screw and repeat til you have clear fluid with no bubbles and close the bleeder a little more than snug. Don't break it!

Oh, and you're welcome! It was very modest service, I assure you.

Well ill give her a try thanks for the help
