ok i got the engine in and most of the wires correct... i just can't figuer out the fuel pump wires and my books arn't helping any either... does any one know the colors or anything useful that i can use... btw, 94 4.0 in a 88 ranger that had a 2.9

On the one (twelve wire?) connector that goes to the frame harness
The guage wire is Yellow with a white stripe
the Black-pink stripe wire is the power to the fuel pumps.

That wire is routed through the inertia switch.

The Power wire to the fuel pump on the 1994 is Dark green with a yellow stripe.

BTW, just how much of the 1994 wiring did you use?

In my 1987 Ranger with a 1993 Explorer 4.0 the only wiring
under the hood that's original to the 1987 is the wiring to the
lamps and the wiper motor.

What manuals are you using for reference while doing your swap?
