I bought a new weber 32/36 and used the redline adapter 99004.250 on a stock 2 barrel intake and it has a vacuum leak on the carb but not the manifold. I had the same problem with a holley 5200 so i dont think it would be the carb. Ive tried making an adapter with the stock black spacer and making one like it out of aluminum as well. Those 2 leaked worse than the redline adapter. I removed the carb immediately after trying the black spacer and noticed gas on the outside edges of the long sides, mainly in the middle section like where the linkage operates the 2nd barrel. I bought a holley 5200 gasket with the 2 holes vs one hoping to seal around the barrels and that didnt work either. Ive already ground the carbs mounting holes so im probably screwed if i got a dud. Other than any advice, my question is might the racer walsh canon intake fix my problem? I noticed the mating surfaces for the carb are basically the same for the canon manifold and the redline adapter. Thanks
