Picked up this 95 Ranger XLT that somebody had used as a parts truck, they used the bed & rearend. I'm gonna put either a Explorer or Mustang 8.8 under it, whichever is the narrowest, as I'm goin to a Explorer rear suspension setup, as in mountin the springs under the frame, which should give me clearance for some 15X12 or 15X14 inset wheels & some 31X12.5X15 Hoosier Pro Street tires in the back.

Haven't decided if I'm gonna attempt to pull the radiator support, or just replace it............

The 2.3L & 5spd will be listed in the classifieds when I getem out, may be a lil' while, as I just had a heart cath, echocardiogram, & endoscopy done this past Wed & Thurs, so I've gotta heal a lil' before hittin the garage.

Here's some pics of it when I brought it home:

Hope you get to feeling better real quick. Looks like a cool project.

The radiator support could be bought from rock auto cheap.
Good luck with it and remember to post pics.

My theory of Explorer setup to Ranger>>>

Here's a pic of the Ranger setup:

NOW, picture the springs mounted UNDER the frame & look at the amount of room there is for PRO STREET tires & ability to get em inside the wheelwells.

I've got Explorer front spring mounts & gonna make rear shackle mounts.........

I might have to mini-tub the box, but that's no big deal............

I'll post pics of the setup when I get it done.............

Good to see you, Tim! Hope you heal up quick, buddy. Are you actually putting a Ford engine between the fenders this time? LOL

I've gotta FRESH 350 shortblock on my engine stand, it'll find it's home in the 95 unless I come across a heck of a deal on a SBF, but for the cubes, I can't beat the SBC for cost.....

THANKS!
