I got a new trush welded muffler and its stock pipeing then out to 2.25 in out this muffler is the same as the flowmaster 40. This muffler sounds really good but its not not as loud as i thought....... i had it on for about an hour will it get louder???

Oh yes. ANY muffler you get will get louder after it's "Break In Period"

Yeah, it gets louder and lower with a little time. I like mine, and you can't go wrong with a knockoff flowmaster for $20.

I got my flowmaster in at the shop the started it up and reved is a bit and I kinda felt the smile go away......buuuutttt......After about a couple months, not sure how gradual but it rumbles and sounds beastly starting up from cold or in the quiet of mil housing a 2am. plus when you get on it, it will rumble good, don't lose heart it wil get better
