A truck like that (assuming it is rust free) would run $4k-$6k around here. I'd drop $2500 on it in a heartbeat (if I couldnt talk him down that is ).

Looks like a nice truck, can't beat the 79's for looks. I would say that is a decent price, especially if everything works good. Around here you would expect to pay between 2-4K.

The best generation ever built...73-79.

The 400M/C6 combo is hard to beat. Dont let some naysayers scare ya from it. They make awesome power and torque, they have a powerband similar to a 300 6 (tons of low end, but not quite incredable top end) but they dolike their fuel.

Id snag it in a heartbeat.

I have spent over a year looking for this truck, and let me tell you they are getting very hard to find in good condition any more. I have also passed up on a lot of other trucks along the way so I'm afraid I might not find one like this for a while. I will going to the bank this morning to get the money then I'm gonna go pick up the truck today. As an added bonus I get to make my brother extremely jealous when I tell him what I got. HA ha ha.... that's going to be priceless right there.
