Top secret op into Iran to bring back one of their F-14’s to see how they have been modified before an impending war with them. The only logical choice was to have Admiral Maverick who is the best F-14 pilot in the world train current pilots but that doesn’t work out so he gets sent in on his own.

After all these years why even bother with a sequel. Reboots are the new thing. Reboot this, then release a sequel in 1 or 2 years, not decades later. I was a kid when this movie was new, I'm 41 now and could care less to see Ethan Hunt do his best Maverick impression. Plus Goose is dead, and lets be honest, he was the real star of the original.
