New tools you've bought recently?

@2011Supercab 2 of my brother's and 1 of my sister-in-laws said, " Nice one. ".

Well, went to an auction again... did pretty good saying no this time... $5 box with like 6 hammers, another $5 box with some stuff for installing window screens (good ones with wood and aluminum handles not the plastic garbage like I dealt with on the last screen I did) and a $12 tool box with some TIG welding stuff including a bunch of cups and two new packs of tungsten and some other random stuff, also a $5 box with some RC related stuff including a charger I'm very familiar with but has a 120V power supply so it can be plugged in instead of connected to a battery or other tomfoolery.

I think it was @holyford86 did an "off road" upgrade to his cherry picker. I liked it enough I saved the image. But... I lost it when my laptop went all blue screen of death.

Maybe he can post it again?
I do not, nor have I ever owned a cherry picker. However, I did an off road upgrade to a harbor freight aluminum racing jack, which consisted of adding a skid plate to it. This served me well for many years but was starting to show its age around the time the badlands off road jack was released. I was one of the first in line to buy one of them, they're wonderful, especially for the price.

I plan to make a mini gin pole type hoist for my truck once I'm done the cab replacement and frame reinforcement in the spring. Not having to lift heavy things by hand will be handy. I'll definetely post the project once I start that process

The 3 ton Badlands jack is so nice, I'm tempted to buy the 1.5 ton to try it out. They are lighter and more compact, so easier to load into a truck for an adventure and there are mounting racks available for them that are more reasonable in price compared to what is out there for the 3 ton.

I do some mobile mechanic work, so the 3 ton works well for me, it's low enough to work on most cars, but goes high enough for bigger things too. If I only used it for myself I'd probably try the smaller one too.
