New tools you've bought recently?

There's people that have adapted the electric hoists to the trolley, don't remember what I saw but they just have a 4 bolt flange on the top side... I adapted mine to the truck crane since I didn't have a boat winch... I agree with Shran, it's a fast bugger, I'm thinking of doubling up the cable just to slow it down...

On my A frame I put two trolleys and two chain hoists (one half ton and one 1 ton I think, don't remember, one is single chain the other is double) which is fantastic... plus I get to pick the fast or the slow one... couldn't pass up the $10 chain hoist at a swap meet and the $25 open box trolley...

For pulling engines the chain hoist makes it an easy accurate job and doesn't bleed down like a cherry picker.

The guy I know who did it said he had to buy an extra trolley and that was all he needed to make the electric hoist work w/ minor modifications.

IIRC he has it set up with a snatch block/pulley and it was still pretty fast.

That's a really smart way to do it. I'll start with the cheaper chain option and then invest in electric if I use it enough.

annular cutter, A K A fancy hole saw.
1" x 2" deep.

I'm getting serious with my basement machine shop.
so far I specialize in the worst kind of chips. :icon_thumby:

And just what medical condition, pray tell, would require an anal cutter?

On second thought, from the looks of it, I bet that's what my doctor used on my hemorrhoids years ago.

I've had prostate surgery, do you want any more details? :stop:

I don’t remember who it is who always asks for pictures, but shut him up right now.

Harbor Freight has 15% off anything this weekend so I bought the side box for my big tool box. Not sure what I am going to put in it yet. Probably either electrical/pressure testing stuff from my other box, or transfer two drawers full of brake tools and specialty stuff over from that box, OR, MAYBE, my M12 power tool collection that is in packout boxes now. I don't know. My old box has a deep drawer full of gear pullers and stuff and it's bending the drawer slides so I need to spread out the weight.

I'm going to put a bench grinder on the top of the new side box I think. I have one with white stones on it for sharpening drill bits and tooling, it's on a stand right now but it's been right in that spot so I think I'll leave it there.

This was not planned at all but this section of wall just barely fits this box, it's about 1" away from the garage door track on the left and almost touching the door trim on the right. Like a glove!

I haven’t actually bought any of these, but they seem pretty useful. Especially you off-roader guy dudes.

they work pretty well. I have a couple that hold a shovel onto my roof rack.

Visited a new hazard fraught after work and got some rust busters.. forgot I needed to get more air chucks though, dammit.

I really only wanted a hammer bit for my air chisel but.. the set was reviewed well enough to say eff it.

You'll NEED all of them anyway...

Yeah they'll all come in handy for sure.

I got plenty of room left in my box too so, no big deal coming home with a little extra lol.

You'll want one of those needler air tools as well.
