Whats up y'all, I have been searching and looking for some info to pick my direction on my recent project. So I came to pick the forums brains lol.

My current project is a 1999 ford ranger single cab 5 speed, 2.5L with 114k miles I picked up for next to nothing. It has the #1 piston crack a ring land. Well after removal of the engine the block seems to be ok. I will need to just replace that piston. But then...... Why not upgrade it a bit also.

Welcome to TRS~!

Your question may be a bit technical for the introduction forum, but you might get an answer or two...or maybe a link to another build thread from someone who's done a rebuild or conversion...

From what I understand, the 2.5 is a stroked (as in longer stroke) 2.3 that is good for low end grunt, can be turbo charged, can put out a respectable hp, and I want one...

Other than that...try posting in the four banger forum to get more info...or just search through the posts that are already there and see what you can find...
