new to the ranger world from mi

Hi, I'm Black Hart. I'm new to the ranger world, and just picked up my 1st ranger. A HUGE THANKS TO FOURWINNSPULLIN!! As he actually GAVE me the ranger! Any who it's a 1994 2wd reg cab short bed, 4 cyl automatic. My plan is to swap the 302 in my grandfather's old f150 into this truck. If you want a manual trans for the 302 that matches Rangers floor plate, look for 1997 and up M5OD-R2 from a 4.2l V6 F-series, 2WD
4.2l has same trans bolt pattern as 302/5.0l, have to drill out the bellhousing holes a bit.

In 1997 M5OD-R2 shifter was moved farther back, close to Ranger placement.

You can use older manual trans, just need to cut a hole and get shifter arm bent to clear dash

Thanks! But I think I'm gonna keep it an auto for now, although il keep that in mind for the future as Iv thought a lot about going to a manual

If I still had my Ranger I'd be wanting to put a 5.0 in it too...with an automatic...
